There are currently "7" Tamable Animals in Wilderness Survival 4.9.

Important Notes: Weapons cannot be used with tames. Each tame takes up 1 inventory spot. You cannot stack tames or have more than 1 tame at a time. Tames cannot wander too far off without the Survivor nearby.

Current Tame Penalty (to avoid abuse) anytime a tame item is dropped your survivor loses -25% health points. This is only temporary until it is properly balanced.

Taming requires a (Net) to be thrown at one of the following wild animals

  • Mouse
  • Rabbit
  • Falcon
  • Bear
  • Wolf
  • Wolf Mother
  • Siberian Tiger

Each tame does something different in terms of play-style.

  • Mouse (Spreads disease on food) (Currently unavailable!)
  • Rabbit (Gatherer)
  • Falcon (Scout)
  • Bear (Ally Buffs) + (Minor Heals)
  • Wolf (Self Buffs) + (Minor Heals)
  • Wolf Mother (Pack of Wolves) + (Self Buffs) + (Minor Heals)
  • Siberian Tiger (Revives Downed Players) + (Minor Heals) (Now available!)

Each tame is allowed to eat/drink specific foods to gain health.

  • Hot Water
  • Maggots
  • Mushrooms
  • Tree Roots
  • Mushroom Soup
  • Fresh Iced Tea
  • Meat (Cooked/Raw)
  • Trout (Cooked/Raw) (Currently unavailable)
Note: Rat destroys these items (Temporary)

Final notes: In order to tame it requires Net, eventually it will require other methods as planned so keep this in mind.
